A very special memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday as folks gather at the Agri-Exposition Center in Clinton to hear some great gospel music.

It’s the 10th Annual N.C. Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Sampson County Firemen Honor Guard’s Gospel Sing.

Featured singers are local recording artists Tim Bass, the ViewMasters, and special guest group Ed O’Neal and the Dixie Melody Boys.

Former Marine Ilario Pantano, who was at the Twin Towers in New York on 911, is the guest speaker.

He will talk about the roll the dedicated firefighters played on 911 and also in our everyday lives.

State Fire Marshall Wayne Goodwin will be on hand to speak as well.
