WARSAW — Mr. Bradley "Skeeter" Faison, 64, of 616 South Gum St., died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at Duplin General Hospital, Kenansville.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Morrisey officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Clinton.

CLINTON — Mrs. Linda Carroll Herring, 51, of 2854 Hobbton Hwy., died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ. Burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery.

Roscoe Carter, 79

GARLAND — Mr. Roscoe Carter, 79, of 8104 Bull St., died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Carter was a Retired Veteran of U.S. Army.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at Beards Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Helms officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Carter is survived by one daughter, Faith Small of Elm City; one son, Robert Carter of Palmer, Alaska; one sister, Lula Jane Carter of Clinton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb.11, from 10-11 a.m. at the church before the service.

Gloria F. Matthews, 59

CLINTON — Mrs. Gloria Faison Matthews, 59, of 205 Martha lane, died Monday,Feb. 5, 2012 at home.

The funeral will be held at noon, Saturday, Feb. 11 at Holy Grove Disciple Church, Clinton. Interment will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery, Clinton.

The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Matthews is survived by one daughter, Latoya Matthews of Clinton; two stepdaughters, Paulette Murrel and Sharon Matthews both Scotts Plain, N.J.; four sisters, Cathy Henry of Clinton, Rennie Hill from Manhatthan, N.Y., Faith Cole of Beacon, N.Y., and Wanda Faison of Clinton.

Public viewing will be from 1 until 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10 at Butler & Son Funeral Services, Clinton.

WARSAW — Mr. Earl Warren Roxby Jr., 90, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at Carolina East Hospice Care Center in Kenansville.

Mr. Roxby was born Dec. 2, 1921 in Norman, Okla. to the late Earl W. Roxby and Bertha Bates Roxby.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12 in Devotional Gardens.

Michael A. Baldanza, 62

ROSEBORO — Mr. Michael A. Baldanza, 62, of 1371 Horse Pasture Road, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clinton, with Father Mark Betti officiating. Burial will he held at the Clinton City Cemetery. Rosary service will be held Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation Chapel.

Mr. Baldanza was born Feb. 18, 1949 in Queens, NY to Beatrice Collins and Anthony Michael Baldanza. He was a retired truck driver from UPS for 30 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a wife, Judy Ann Baldanza of the home; a step-mother Ann Baldanza; two daughters, Diane (Johnathan) Braswell of Charlotte and Deborah (James Jr.) Johnson of Clinton; five grandchildren: Alexis and Johnathan Braswell, Jaylen, Destiny and Jamar Johnson; and a close friend, Roy Williams of Roseboro.

Johnny C. Williams, 73

ROSEBORO — Mr. Johnny Clifton Williams, 73, of 6652 Dunn Road, died on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with pastor Jeff Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at the Spell Family Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born on Feb. 27, 1938 in Sampson County to the late Alman Edward and Lillian Lewis Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents, a great granddaughter, Madison Skye Tew; and one brother, Thomas B. Williams. He was a member of Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked as a manager in the textile industry.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Naylor Williams of the home; two sons, Johnny Milton Williams and James Issac Williams both of Roseboro; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers, David Williams and James Edward Williams both of Roseboro; and five sisters, Bertha Griffith, Doris Spell, Betty Spell and Ann House all of Roseboro and Alma Palmer of Taylorsville.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3645 Dunn Road, Roseboro, and other times at the home.

ROSE HILL — Ms. Chekieta Carol Williams, age 54, of Rose Hill, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital, Kinston.

Funeral services will be held from the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Hooks officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Church Cemetery, Rose Hill.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, two hours prior to the funeral.
