False information given
In Sunday’s CrimeWatch, Sampson County Sheriff’s officials reported that Amber Rich was arrested for second degree trespassing. However, the person arrested for second degree trespassing was actually Donna Furmidge. According to officials, Furmidge was taken into custody and gave Rich’s name and information to Magistrate Charles Price. Furmidge is now facing an additional charge of supplying false information to authorities. The Independent regrets any confusion this may have caused.
