Bearskin MB Church

Will celebrate Black History Month on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. The theme will be “Honoring African American Women in American Culture and History” who have played a vital role in shaping of our nation. Recognition will also be given to honor several women who made contributions to our local communities. The celebration will be filled with musical dramas, praise dancing, and musical performances. Garland’s Mayor Winifred Murphy will be the special guest attending the celebration.

Big Piney

Grove MBC

Will celebrate its Ladies’ Auxiliary Anniversary on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. Their guests will be the Rev. Dr. S. E. Bryant and the Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church family. For more information, call the Rev. Patricia Moore 299-0329.

Will have a chicken and pastry supper on Saturday, March 3 from 4 p.m. until.

Cedar Point Church

The Cedar Point Community Outreach, located on 1258 Cedar Point Road, Newton Grove, will host an EOG Tutoring Session, March 3,. The session is available for students in grades 3-8. The session is free. Registration and breakfast will start at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided and students should be picked up by 1 p.m. The Missionary Department at Cedar Point will host a Women’s Missionary Spring Fellowship March 17, from 9 a.m-noon. Guest speaker will be Dr. Janie Troublefield Robinson. She will share her mission trip experience to the Congo. Central Baptist

Will offer a free health seminar Feb. 25 on “The Immune System.” Restart Your Life, a Lexington, S.C. Based company focused on research-driven immune support, will host a free health seminar titled “ The Importance of a Strong Immune System and it’s Ability to Keep You Well” from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at CBC, located 6050 Plainview Highway, Dunn. Registration begins at 9 a.m. A.J. Lanigan, a world renowned researcher and national talk show host will be the featured guest speaker. The church will present Love Worth Fighting, which is a live event, at 6 p.m, on Saturday, March 17. The program will feature TV star Kirk Cameron and Spivey’s Corner own Warren Barfield. Will present the DVD series, “Who Switched Off My Brain ” from the renounced neuro-metacognitive learning specialist, Dr. Caroline Leaf, March 4 at 9:45 a.m. The church is located at 545 Tillery St., Clinton. EBA

Anyone interested in potentially joining our EBA Mission team to New Mexico on June 29 - July 7 please make plans to be at our Team Planning Meeting at Piney Grove Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 20. We will fill the space for our team of 25 on a first-come basis. Task for the team will be determined by the camp directors and will then be assigned to team members by team leader Richard Weeks based on interests, abilities, and order of priority of tasks.

Will have a Home Mission Prayer Breakfast at 10 a.m., Sunday, March 18. The church will Celebrate Black History Month with program by the youth following the morning service on Sunday, Feb. 26.
