The Lakewood girls soccer team blanked Red Springs on their home field Tuesday continuing their 2-0 winning streak this season. The final score was 0-6.

“I’m really proud of how well our defense and mid-field worked together to hold off the attacks. They did a fantastic job,” an elated Lakewood head coach Jennifer Wuester said.

Janay Kinlock scored 3 goals for the Lady Leopards. Her sister, Uniqua Kinlock, put 1 in the net, along with Katie Stewart and Ashley Smith. Uniqua, Ashton Odum, and Hailee Gordon were each credited with an assist.

“They all played a great game,” Coach Wuester added.

The Leopards will host Trask next Tuesday for their first Tri-County Conference game.
