Are you afraid to change? Do you feel hopeless at times? We resist change because of our fear of the unknown. What are you afraid of, really — the past, the present, or perhaps even your future? Don’t quit before the miracle happens!
In Hebrews 11:1, it says: “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (NIV)
Hope opens doors where despair closes them! Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God. Only God’s power can change us and our situation! About a year ago, several ladies started attending Celebrate Recovery for various hurts, hang-ups and habits. They became willing to work on their own character defects. Last winter they decided to join an intensive step study (very similar to a Bible study). Over the next several months, they plugged into the workbooks, made themselves accountable to God and to another person, and faithfully attended the study weekly. Last Friday night they celebrated their completion of the study!
If you’ve been attending CR weekly, you would have been blessed to see their life change right before your eyes!! Where despair and hopelessness was once present, it was replaced with joy and expectations for the future! God showed up and changed their lives!
If you’re longing to have your life be abundantly blessed and desire a future filled with hope, come and join us one Friday night! This ministry truly works if you attend it and work it! We’re just a small, wonderful group of people, full of flaws and imperfections, but longing and willing to seek God and humble ourselves to the changes He wants to make in us. He is changing lives here on Friday nights!
The teaching this Friday night is all about hope! What are you afraid of, really? Come take that first step and discover hope at Celebrate Recovery, First Baptist Church, located at 408 College St. Clinton Friday nights at 7 p.m.!
