It’s church time

In Hebrews 10:25, it says “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.”

As the weather begins to change along with the time, it’s an easy opportunity to miss church or, as some would say, “lay out.” Have you allowed little things to keep you away from the house of God, and then realize that you could have gone to the service after the fact?

During the spring and summer time church attendance drops all across this country in the body of Christ. Why is this? The Bible makes it clear that in these last days we need not to “forsake the assembling of ourselves,” in other words it’s not the time to be skipping out on church. Yes I know you take vacations, and you may miss a Sunday, but when you start missing weeks upon weeks and they turn into months upon months, now that’s an issue.

How precious is your salvation that Jesus purchases by the cross with his blood that was shed for your sins? Saints of God, Jesus is due to return at anytime and I know right now you have some loved ones who are not saved which means they would die in their sins, and would go to Hell. It would be by the choices that they have made in life, because God sends no one to hell, it’s a choice to accept his plan which is through and in his son Jesus Christ.

God has the power to use the preacher to speak to you about your problems. Have you been questioning lately whether or not God hears you? The Sunday that you miss church could be the day that God would give you the answers to your prayers. Going to church will not get you to Heaven, but it shows that you honor God’s word.

This is not the time to be using all types of excuses to miss church; we are living in the last days, just look around you and read your Bible and see how it’s all lining up together. We sacrifice to make it to ball games, practices, dance rehearsals, so why can’t we do the same for church?

Was what Jesus did on the cross not enough for you to make a sacrifice for him? Think about what he did for you when he gave his life for you, yet this is how you pay him back?

Do you place or plan everything around church, or is church placed and planned around everything else in your life? God saved you; if he does nothing else he has done enough.

I know you will miss some Sundays, and Wednesdays night, but saints of God realize the times we are living in and how it’s upon you to pray someone through their struggles, issues, and mistakes. Have you forgotten that someone did the same for you? What if they would have taken a lot Sundays off due to whatever the reason — would you be here today to tell your story?
