A local business has offered its support of education, donating 50 electric pencil sharpeners and packs of card stock for each teacher to use in their classroom.

Kerr School has fantastic support from parents, students, and the community. On behalf of the faculty at Kerr School, we’d like to thank Crop Production Services (CPS) of Clinton for their generous donation, said school officials.

CPS manager Mark Tyndall and employee, Belinda Boney recently distributed pencil sharpeners and card stock to teachers after learning about the need for these items.

Belinda Boney, Kerr’s current PTSO president, surveyed teachers to discern needs in their classrooms. She said she was humbled by the staff’s simple requests. She approached her boss, Mark Tyndall, for support and he was immediately on board.

Students and teachers, administrators said, are very appreciative of these gifts and send lots of smiles and love to their community partners.
