Carroll and Vickie Giddens of Newton Grove are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Fallon Marie Giddens, to Joshua Ryan Pope of Clinton. Josh is the son of Douglas Pope and Lynn and Jackie Carr, all of Clinton.

Both the bride-elect and the groom-elect are graduates of Hobbton High School’s Class of 2004.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mallie Giddens and the late Henry “Bill” Giddens of Newton Grove, Irene Darden and the late Marion Darden of Clinton.

She is a graduate of Johnston Community College in 2008 with a degree in Radiography and Nuclear Medicine and is employed with Wilmington Health as a nuclear medicine technologist in Wilmington.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Sara Pope and the late Perry Pope of Clinton, Janet Robinson and the late Jack Robinson of Rose Hill, and Stanley and Lynette Carr of Clinton.

He is a graduate of Cape Fear Community College in 2010 with a degree in Machining Technology and is currently employed with General Electric of Wilmington.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m.Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Invitations will be mailed.

The couple plan to reside in Leland following the ceremony.
