First Women’s Conference, May 5, at 10 a.m. - noon. Evangelist Kendra Law will be the speaker. The theme for the conference is “Women’s in Action and on the Move.” Speakers will be evangelist Kendra Law, sister Sherry Jennings and minister Renee Best. A light brunch will follow the conference. Cedar Point

The Christian Youth Fellowship will sponsor a Yard Sale on May 5, from 7:30 a.m.-noon. Proceeds from the Yard Sale will benefit the 2012 Relay for Life Campaign. The Yard Sale will be held at the vacant lot across the street from Hardee’s around the circle in Newton Grove. Tickets are available for the 2012 Black Tie Event. The $25.00 donation benefits the Cedar Point Community Outreach. The Black Tie Event will be held June 23, in the Cedar Point Multipurpose Building. The keynote speaker for this year’s event is Ms. Jennifer Daughtry, principal at Hargrove Elementary School. Contact any member for ticket information.

Enlighten The World

Second annual Worship In the Park series starting May 5 and continuing every 1st and 3d Saturday of each month through September (weather permitting). St the Laurel Lakes Campground Pavilion in Salemburg. Besides it being a great community outreach the will use the events to raise awareness and collect financial donations and accept food/hygiene donations for the homeless and disadvantaged in the Cumberland and Sampson county region as well as abroad. The May 5 event will include many Christian bands from the area, and other acts and speakers. Kick-off is May 5, from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Then it is every 1st and 3d Saturday from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. They are still looking for talent, if anyone would be interested. Dance, drama, music, puppet show, etc. or volunteers to help out at the events. People are needed for traffic, stage crew, escorts, etc. There will be concession stands selling food and drink. The youth at Roseboro United Methodist Church would like to invite everyone for a night of fellowship and fun. Rusty Martin, who plays Dylan Mitchell in the movie Courageous, from the creators of Fireproof, will be at our church on April 28, 2012. The youth will be serving spaghetti, salad, green beans, rolls, tea, water, lemonade and dessert. The dinner will start at 4 p.m. and last until 6 p.m. Then at 7 p.m., the group will move to the Sanctuary to watch the movie and hear how God has touched Rusty’s life. The Summit (FBC Clinton)

Will have their our annual Spaghetti Supper, Friday May 4 from 11-noon. Each plate will be $6 and will include spaghetti, veggies and tea. Homemade, desserts for purchase. A raffle will also be held that day.
