Tew graduates with honors

Hannah Sherrie Tew, daughter of Howard and Sherrie Tew of Clyde, graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington on May 11.  Tew received two bachelor degrees: a BS in International Business and a BA in Spanish.  In addition to receiving recognition as an Honors Graduate in Spanish, Hannah was recognized as an Honors Global Citizen for participation in global studies, including advanced competence in a foreign language and completion of an approved study abroad program.  Tew attended the Universitat de València, in Valencia, Spain during her junior year completing 24 credit hours toward her degree in a totally immersed Spanish environment.  Hannah was also selected as the Outstanding Graduate in International Business by the UNC-W faculty in the Cameron School of Business.  Hannah’s parents are originally from Sampson County.  Her father Howard is the son of Ruth Tew and the late Clayton Tew of the Plain View community.  Her mother Sherrie is the daughter of the late Madeline and Thomas Vann of the Herring community.
