A special celebration will be held at Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, Sunday, June 3, beginning at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Jeffery White, will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m., the celebration of Deacon Famous Raynor will begin. Our special guest will be the Rev. Jerry Johnson, choir and congregation from Ingold Missionary Baptist Church. Other special guests will participate. The public is invited to join in this special celebration.
The ushers of the Union Star Free Will Baptist Church, Clinton, will celebrate their anniversary Sunday, June 3, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be elder Fernando Geddie, choir and congregation of the Piney Green Disciple Church.
Regular morning worship service will be held at the Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro, Sunday, June 3, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Dr. S.E. Bryant, will deliver the morning message and the senior choir will render the music. At 3 p.m., the senior choir will celebrate their anniversary. Several choirs will participate, including Elizabeth Choir, Sams Springs of Roseboro, Saint Stephens of Garland, Lisbon Street, Dove Chapel, and others. There will be more information about their male chorus anniversary next week.
Andrew Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will celebrate the seventh anniversary of their pastor, the Rev. Gerald Underwood, Sunday, June 3, at 10 a.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Theodore Thomas of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Warsaw,and the youth choir of Andrew Chapel will provide the music.
The Christ Missionary Baptist Church, now located at Salemburg Elementary School, will have its regular morning worship service Sunday, June 3, at 10 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Marvin T. Clowney, will bring the message and the choir will render the music.
Pre-Men’s Day musical will be held on Saturday, June 2, at the Mingle Hill Disciples of Christ Church in Salemburg, beginning at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, June 3, the annual Men’s Day Service will be held at 11 a.m. The pastor, Eddie Parker, will bring the message and the male chorus will provide the music.
Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey, will hold regular morning services Sunday, June 3, beginning at 11:15 a.m. The guest minister will be the Rev. Dr. Cleophis Wright Jr. of Hallsboro. He will be accompanied by the youth and adult choirs. At 4 p.m., the youth choir will celebrate their anniversary. Several other choirs have been invited to this event.

Joy Night will be held at the Ram in the Bush Church, Clinton, Thursday, May 31, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. James Jackson of the Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church. Regular morning worship service will be held ever second, third and fourth Sunday. The host pastor is Judy Howard.
Family and Friends Day will be held at the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, Sunday, June 3, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Ray Bolton, will bring the message and the adult choir will provide the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. All families and friends are invited to help celebrate this special day.
New Life Outreach Ministries, 708 Sampson St., Clinton, will have service Friday, June 8, at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be minister Odell Register. The annual Men’s Conference is set for June 13-15 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. I will let you know more about this event later.
On Sunday, June 17, bishop Larry Mosson will be at the North Carolina Prayer Tower for their annual Father’s Day service. I will give you more information on this next week.
Youth revival will be held at the First Missionary Baptist Church, Kenansville, May 30-June 1, at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Dayhige Wright, youth minister at the Light of Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. He has been preaching since he was 4 years old. Other choirs will provide the music during the week, and on Friday, the Mount Pleasant youth choir, Clinton, will sing.
The Women’s Conference of the Sampson Chapel Disciple Church, Clinton, will have their conference Saturday, June 2, at 11 a.m. The theme will be “Healing and Empowering the Mind, Body and Soul.” The speakers are minister Kimberly Walker of Roseville Missionary Baptist Church of Willard and minister Iris Harleston of Orange Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Durham.
Regular morning worship service will be held at First Baptist Church, 900 College St., Clinton, Sunday, June 3, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Thomas Farrow, will bring the message and the adult choir will provide the music.
Vacation Bible School will begin at First Baptist Church on June 11, at 6 p.m. All adults and children are invited to attend.
There will be a Teacher’s Workshop for Sunday school teachers and VBS teachers at First Baptist Church, 900 College St., Clinton, Saturday, June 9, from 9 a.m. until noon. The presenter will be Dr. Frank Byrd of the General Baptist State Convention of Raleigh. Regular morning worship service will be held at the Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, Sunday, June 3, at 11 a.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Alice Jean Boykin. She will be accompanied by the youth choir.
Saint Stephens Holiness Church of Turkey will have their annual revival May 30-June 1, at 7 p.m. nightly. On Wednesday, minister Dexter Stevens of the Mt. Zion Church of Warsaw will speak; Thursday, the Rev. Ronald Highsmith, choir and congregation of Robinson Chapel in Roseboro will participate; and on Friday, the Rev. Elwood McPhail, choir and congregation of Milton Grove will be guests. Then, on Sunday, June 3, Men’s Day will be observed. Dinner will be served.
