A 20-year-old Hope Mills man is facing six serious charges after he was linked to two separate motor vehicle break-ins Monday.
Brian Margita, 20, of 3322 Cross Winds Drive, Hope Mills, was charged with two counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle; misdemeanor larceny; possession of stolen goods; and two counts of financial card fraud.
According to sheriff’s reports, Margita turned himself in to authorities Monday after warrants were taken out for his arrest in two motor vehicle break-ins.
“He was linked to two Sampson County motor vehicle break-ins,” said Cpl. Marcus Smith. “After investigation of the break-ins, Mr. Margita was the suspect in both cases and investigators took warrants out for his arrest.”
Smith said Margita talked with investigators and turned himself in Monday.
He was given a combined $13,000 bond and a trial date of July 20.
According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Margita has no previous convictions.
