A Salemburg man is facing myriad felony drug charges, as a well as a $10,000 bond, after an investigation revealed that he was allegedly selling crack cocaine from his home.
Marcus Donte Williams, 27, of 80 Lauren Wood Lane, Salemburg, was charged with six counts of selling and delivering cocaine Saturday evening around 7 p.m.
According to reports released Tuesday morning, warrants for Williams were taken out on June 6 following a lengthy drug investigation by the Sampson County Special Investigations Division (SID). Reports note that at the time of his arrest, 3.0 grams of crack cocaine was discovered in his house.
Williams was immediately taken into custody and charged.
He was given a $10,000 secured bond and a trial date of July 20.
According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Williams has a history of convictions dating back to May 2003. Those convictions include: felony breaking and entering (May 2003); and two counts of selling/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance (March and April of 2009).
