
Rural Center visit
Middle and high school students from the PEACE Academy visited the North Carolina Rural Center July 10. The PEACE Academy is a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant sponsored by the Saint Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and Sampson County Schools. The summer academy is currently serving 75 Garland area youth in grades K-12. These students attend school in the Union district. The academy is focusing on academics, character education, community service and healthy living.
