ROSEBORO — A Roseboro teenager has been arrested in the assault of another man, who was stabbed at his home last week.
David Sean Thomas, 18, of 426 Doc Highsmith Lane, Roseboro, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in connection with an incident that occurred Thursday.
Thomas was arrested at his home Friday, a day after Sampson County sheriff’s authorities responded to a stabbing at 229 Wooded Lane, Roseboro.
At 4:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies received a call of an assault victim at the home. According to reports, Preston Tyrell Autry, 22, of the Wooded Lane residence, was stabbed in the back with a kitchen knife.
Following the incident, Autry was transported to Sampson Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Thomas was placed under $5,000 secured bond. According to officials within the Sampson County Detention Center, the teenager was jailed for approximately three hours before he posted bond.
