Arrests

• 7/31 — Hunter Matney, 19, 14150 Highland Court Road, Defiance, was charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (mushrooms); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond $3,500; trial date Aug. 31.

• 7/31 — Lisa Vann, 41, 140 Strawberry Patch Road, Faison, was charged with simple assault; assault with a deadly weapon; and assault by pointing a gun. Bond $4,500; trial date Aug. 29.

• 7/31 — Chandra Craddock, 27, 140 Strawberry Patch Road, Faison, was charged with simple assault. Bond $750; trial date Aug. 29.

• 7/31 — Rafael Gomez, Faison, reported a breaking, entering and larceny. Reported stolen was a radio valued at $300; two coolers valued at $135; and 100 drinks valued at $200. Reported damaged were two vehicle doors.

• 7/31 — Micheal Jones, Dunn, reported a breaking, entering and larceny. Reported stolen were two wallets; GPS system valued at $465; an iPod valued at $250; and cash.

• 7/31 — Melody Lockamy, Dunn, reported a larceny. Reported stolen were two medications.

• 7/31 — Russell Jones, Salemburg, reported a larceny. Reported stolen was an old planter; a plow; and a disc.
