A northern Sampson County woman has been linked to a couple motor vehicle break-ins that took place last week on Green Path Road.
Laura Ann Hunt, 30, of 4424 North Spring Branch Road, was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with two counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle; two counts of misdemeanor larceny; and two counts of receiving stolen property/goods.
She was taken into custody at her home around 7:20 p.m.
According to sheriff’s reports, two vehicles were broken into late last week at a residence on Green Path Road, just north of the Mingo area. Through investigation and eyewitness accounts, Hunt was linked to the crime. Warrants were issued for her arrest and she was taken into custody Tuesday without incident.
She was placed under a $7,500 secured bond and given a trial date of Aug. 31.
