FAYETTEVILLE — Cape Fear Farm Credit, an agricultural lending cooperative, recently announced that Jay Darden has been promoted to relationship and related services manager.

Darden is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in marketing and minor in horticulture. Prior to joining Cape Fear Farm Credit in March 2001, he worked as a commercial horticulturalist for the Johnston County Cooperative Extension.

He is a member of Grove Park Baptist Church, and serves on the boards of the Sampson County Friends of Agriculture, Clinton 100 Committee, NC Agriculture Foundation and NC Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation. He and his wife, Paula, reside in Clinton with their children Zach, Peter, James, and Ben.

President and CEO Michael Jackson stated, “Jay will focus on relationship building and new business development throughout our territory. He will also manage our related services including life insurance and leasing.”
