Spakes will be guest speaker at Brown’s Chapel Sunday

The Rev. Bernard Spakes, associate minister of the Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, will be guest speaker at the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, Sunday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. The Brown’s Chapel gospel choir will render the music.

The Way of the Cross Ministries Church of Turkey presents its 2012 women’s conference Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be prophetess Ursula Wright, an apostolic prophetic herald anointed with governmental authority to transform the earth with heaven’s sound. On Aug. 11, at 1 p.m., the guest speaker will be apostle Ursula Wright.

Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will hold its Women of Rhema Conference Aug. 15-18 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. On Wednesday night, the guest speaker will be pastor Teshorna Fitzpatrick of the Proceeding Word Church of Chicago. Thursday night will be apostle Stephanie Hart of the Mount Zion Church MInistry of Goldsboro. Friday night will be apostle Brenda Pratt of Global Worship Center of Nassau, Bahamas. On Saturday, Aug. 18, the conference will close out with a luncheon and fashion show at 11 a.m. It is free to the public. The host pastor is bishop Varnie Fullwood and first lady Idella Fullwood, the conference chairperson.

The Christ Missionary Baptist Church, now located at Salemburg Elementary School, will have its regular morning worship service Sunday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Marvin T. Clowney, will bring forth the morning message and the choir will render the music.

New Life Outreach Ministry of 708 Sampson St., Clinton, will have service Friday, Aug. 10, at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be minister Denise Harmon. Their Women’s Conference will begin Sunday, Aug. 19, at 10:30 a.m. The guest speaker will be evangelist Hattie Lofton of Smithfield. On Monday, Aug. 20, the speaker will be pastor Louise Royal of the Jackson Grove Bible Church of God. On Tuesday will be pastor Patricia Peterson of the Joyous Praise Church of Warsaw. On Wednesday will be apostle Angela McLeod of the Greater Tabernacle of Deliverance of Fayetteville. Thursday night will be apostle Gail Speights of the Abundant Life Ministry of Wilson. On Friday, will be elder Mary Tyson of the Outreach Family Ministry of Dillon, South Carolina. On Saturday at 5 p.m. the speaker will be co-pastor prophetess F.M. Pinkney of the Perpetual Praise Ministry of Hope Mills.

The 24th pre-pastor anniversary service for the Rev. Willie Bryant will begin Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Saint Jude Holiness Church, H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The speaker tonight will be the Rev. Judy Howard, choir and congregation of the Ram in the Bush Church; on Thursday will be elder Thelma Waters, choir and congregation of the Coopers Chapel Church; and on Friday, will be elder Eddie Parker, choir and congregation of the Mingle Hill Disciple Church. On Sunday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. the speaker will be elder Bobby Lamb, choir and congregation of the Saint Peters Holiness Church in Keener.

The associate ministers of the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their anniversary Sunday, Aug. 26, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be elder Gerald Underwood of the Andrew Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The host pastor is the Rev. Ray Bolton.

The ushers of the Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro, will celebrate their anniversary Sunday, Aug. 19, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Thomas Farrow Jr., of the First Baptist Church, Clinton, accompanied by his choir and congregation. The host pastor is the Rev. S.E. Bryant.

The ushers of the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, H.B. Lewis Road, will celebrate their anniversary Sunday, Aug. 19, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Marvin T. Clowney, choir, and congregation of the Christ Missionary Baptist Church, Salemburg. The host pastor is the Rev. Jeffrey White.

Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. and morning worship services are at 11 a.m. Bible study is held every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and noon day services are held every Wednesday.
