
Commissioners honor Bell
Lacy Bell Jr. was honored for his service to Sampson County during the Board of Commissioners meeting this week, receiving a plaque from board chairman Billy Lockamy. Bell retired July 1 from his post as Sampson County Head Start director. He served Head Start for 31 years, from 1981 to 2012. He thanked commissioners past and present for helping deliver a needed service in Head Start over the years.
