Service to DSS honored
Pamela Bennett, center, retired after five years at the Department of Social Services from February 2007 to July 2012, serving in the Child Support Office. DSS Board chairwoman Louise Ezzell read a proclamation honoring Bennett for her service and expressing the board’s gratitude for her efforts. ‘The agency and the county are better for the passionate work of Ms. Bennett,’ Ezzell read in part. ‘Pam may have only been here five years, but she is sorely going to be missed,’ said Child Support Office manager Kay Stafford. ‘She is so creative.’ DSS director Sarah Bradshaw, background right, also presented Bennett with a plaque in appreciation of her service.
