A simple traffic stop on an outstanding warrant turned into a felony arrest for a 28-year-old Dunn woman after sheriff’s officrs discovered she had what they believed to be cocaine in her possession.
Crystal Stacker, 28, of 604 S. Fayetteville Avenue, Dunn, was charged with possession of cocaine after the stop last Tuesday night.
According to reports, released Monday morning by the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, investigators with the Special Investigations Division (SID) were following up on an outstanding warrant issued against Stacker involving drug charges from June 6. Investigators spotted her driving in the northern part of Sampson County Tuesday, Aug. 8 and followed her into Harnett County. With the assistance of the Dunn Police Department, Stacker was pulled over on the outstanding warrants for her arrest.
Once officers patted her down, they found the cocaine.
She was placed under a $5,000 bond on the cocaine charge and was charged with two counts of selling/delivering marijuana from Sampson County investigators. On that charg,e she was given a $2,500 bond and a trial date of Aug. 17.
Reports on the arrest were filed nearly a week after the incident.
