Former Clinton resident Shakeema Robinson, who now lives with her family in Fayetteville, has recently published her first self-help book. The book is entitled, “The Process…Maintaining Through Difficult Times.” It is based on her prayer life and is, she said, designed to help readers find a way to face adversity.

Robinson is a graduate of Union High School. She received a medical billing and administration degree from Fayetteville Tech. She is currently is working toward her B.A. in business administration from Ashford University. The author is married to Lorenza Robinson and they have three children, Janiqua, Shaniah and Lorenza Jr.

Robinson, who also attended Clinton City Schools for a time, is currently a traveling merchandiser but is also an evangelist who loves to preach and teach God’s word.

“It is in my heart to help those that are being held captive be set free by the power of God,” expressed the author.

Her favorite scripture passage is Psalm 138:8, “The Lord will perfect those things that concern me for His mercy endures forever.”

“God desire to see people stand strong in the face of adversity. Even when things may seem difficult, God still wants to see them maintain that which He has given unto them,” stated Robinson. “There is so much that God has in store for us. What he has for us is not limited to materialistic things. He wants to see us superimpose His will over the lies and plots of the enemy,” added the author.

For years, Robinson explained, she had kept a prayer journal, continaining her thoughts and feelings about each day.

“I heard God say to put it in a book and, with the experiences I have had, I sat down to do just that” cited the author.

“The Process…Maintaining Through Difficult Times” is a self-help and motivational book, she explained. Robinson shared that she wanted to help people realize in a positive way that God’s help is available to all who ask.

The book is currently aailable online but can be obtained through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Outskirts Press, the publishing company.

Robinson has been recognized by to two Christian magazines, Life in the Overflow Magazine and Renewed, for her book.

“I hope the book will help anyone who reads it not to allow the oppositions that may come into their lives make them lose their eligibility. When they maintain their walk with the Lord, they are eligible to walk in true prosperity. True prosperity is when someone is able to defeat the enemy in every area of their lives. I want to encourage everyone to stand on the word of God and watch Him work in their favor. A person can either maintain or lose their spiritual eligibility, the choice is ours,” remarked Robinson.

The author is currently working on her second book entitled “The God Shift.” Robinson shared that it is about when God changes the path a person is traveling and is there to help in the redirection of a person’s life.
