KENTUCKY — Mrs. Gladys E. Lowe DeVane, 97, formerly of Sampson County, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at Lexington Country Place Nursing and ReHab Center in Kentucky.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with minister Raymond Smith Jr. and Father Mark Betti officiating. Burial will follow in the DeVane Cemetery, Harrells.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service 10 - 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the funeral home.
Mrs. DeVane is survived by one daughter, Dr. Evelyn G. DeVane of Lexington, Ky.; sister, Alice Lowe Bynum of Washington, D.C.; brothers, Dr. Walter E. Lowe of Hilton Head, S.C. and James E. Lowe of Petersburg, Va.; one grandchild; and one great-grand child.
