CLINTON — Mr. William Louis Mundy, 78, of 3016 Wire Branch Road, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at the V.A. Hospital in Fayetteville.

Mr. Bill was born in Macon County, Ill. in 1933 to the late Lewis and Agatha Volk Mundy. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force in Korea and also retired from Norfolk-Western Railroad.

He was preceded in death by a son William (Bill) Mundy Jr. and a sister Rose Mary Durbin.

The funeral will held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hope Valley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Autry officiating. Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Thursday Sept. 13 in Sandhill State Veteran Cemetery in Spring Lake.

Mr. Bill leaves to cherish his wife, Bessie Davis Mundy of the home; stepdaughters, Delta Rios of Clinton and Brenda Royal of Newton Grove; stepsons Gary Allen Davis of Georgia and Edward Glen Davis of Fayettevile; sister, Louise Willis of Roseboro; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday after the funeral service at Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation and other times 3016 Wyre Branch Road, Clinton.
