Christ Missionary Church to celebrate Clowney’s anniversary

Christ Missionary Baptist Church of Salemburg will celebrate pastor Marvin T. Clowney’s third anniversary Sunday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. O.D. Sykes, pastor of Swift Creek Baptist Church and Springfield Baptist or Roanoke Rapids. A congratulatory booklet will be prepared in his honor. For aid information, contact Denise Faison at 590-4618.

On Sunday, Sept. 16, there will be an installation service for brother William Vann at the Milton Grove Missionary Baptist Church, begininng at 6 p.m. The guest speaker will be pastor Alton Vann Jr of the Jones Cross Road Baptist Church, Reidsville. The music will be rendered by Brothers for Christ. The host pastor is the Rev. Elwood McPhail.

Kingdom Building Baptist Church, 6200 High House Road, Salemburg, is inviting the public to help celebrate the dedicatioin of their new James and Dixie Adean Autry fellowship wing Sunday, Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker wil be elder Lannie D. Royster-Willie of Durham. Regular morning worship service will be held at the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, H.B. Lewis Road, Sunday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m.. The pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey White, will bring the message and the choir will render the music.

The ushers of the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their anniversary Sunday, Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be pastor Judy Howard and the Ram in the Bush congregation. The host pastor is Ray Bolton.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Watha will have their revival through Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker be the Rev. Harold Boykin of First Baptist Church, Bowden, and Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. Several choirs will render the music during the week. On Friday night will be Little Piney Grove adult choir. Everyone is invited to attend. Host pastor is the Rev. Elwood Fowler.

On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Friendly Trio wil have a Friend and Youth Day. Different activities will be held. Free hot dogs and drinks available for the youth. Everyone is invited. For more information, call 590-4925.

Pre-anniversary revival service will be held at the Union Grove Disiciples of Christ Church, Clinton, for pastor Dr. Timothy Peppers Sept. 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Louie Boykin of the Baldwin Branch Church in Elizabethtown. Several choirs will participate: Union Grove Choir on Thursday Baldwin Branch on Friday. On Saturday, Sept. 15, a banquet will be held in the church fellowship hall, beginning at 6 p.m. There will be a speaker. On Sunday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m., the guest speaker will be elder Devon Smith accompanied by the church choir.

Joy Night will be held at the Ram in the Bush Church, Clinton, Thursday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Patrick cooper from Cooper’s Chapel United Holiness Church of Clinton.

On Sunday, Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m., the Friendly Trio will host a support program at the Friendly Community Center, Clinton, for the food distribution. The subject will be the Spiritual Crowns. On the program will be Praise and Worship, Mrs. Jackie Christmas and Shanika Murphy. There will be several ministers participating. The Crowns are: Glory, righteousness, gold, pride, rejoicining, life and thorns. Come and be a part of this spiritual program. For more information, call 590-4925.

Western Union Missionary Baptist Association Mission in Actions Day in the Park will be 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. Free to all. The Friendly Trio of Clinton will hold the first anniversary of Ricky Simmons of Louisburg Sunday, Sept. 30, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Friendly Community Center, 421 North Hamp Road, Clinton. Several groups will be on the program. I will give you the groups participating next week.

Revival will be held at the Ingold First Baptist Church Sept. 17-21 at 8 p.m. nightly. Several ministers and choirs will participate.

Saint Stephens Church of Turkey will not have service Sunday, Sept. 16 due to the Southern District Convocation. There will be a make-up service on Friday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. The host pastor is the Rev. Willie Bryant.

Holly Grove Church of Christ, Clinton, is urging the public to attend their annual Mothers Mission Praise Service Sunday, Sept. 16, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Kevin Allen and his church family of Bethelite Missionary Baptist Church, Magnolia.

New Life Outreach Ministry will have service Friday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m., including Youth Night. Attendance at both services will be appreciated. The host pastor is Regina Lucious.

The William Powell Ministries will be held at the Friendly Community Center Saturday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. The service is Seven Speakers. Everyone is invited. For more information, call 910-759-9295.
