DUNN — NC Bank Mortgage, a division of New Century Bank, named Angie F. Norris as assistant vice president and mortgage loan officer, announced Kevin S. Bunn, New Century Bank executive vice president and chief banking officer.
“We are adding to our mortgage division in response to customer demand for new and refinanced mortgages in this low interest rate environment,” commented Bunn. “Angie is a strong addition to the team. With over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, she hit the ground running and is assisting customers and prospects in the Dunn and Lillington markets.”
Prior to joining NC Bank Mortgage, Norris worked for the Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation, a mortgage insurance provider. Active in the industry, she is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas, the Triangle Mortgage Lenders Association, as well as several local chapters of the Mortgage Bankers Association, including those in Raleigh, Fayetteville, and the lower Cape Fear. She earned a graduate of mortgage lending designation from the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women and is currently a candidate for the certified mortgage banker designation of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas. Additionally, she is a Federal Housing Administration direct endorsement underwriter and a Veterans Affairs underwriter.
Norris volunteers her time as the vice president of the Harnett/Lee Chapter of the NC Christian Cyclists, in addition to serving as the women’s ministry director at Abundant Life Worship Center in Angier. A native of Lillington, she and her husband, Johnnie, reside in Fuquay-Varina.
