The Pender Patroits invaded the Hobbton Wildcats’ den Thursday night and took home a 30-0 win. Hobbton played hard, stopping Pender several times on defense, but they just couldn’t generate enough offense to score.

The Wildcats stopped Pender once in the first quarter but the Patriots finally scored late in the quarter. They would score again in the second quarter and get the point after on a run to take a 14-0 lead into the half.

They scored twice in the third quarter; however, Hobbton stopped them several times deep in Wildcat territory.

JV coach Mike Barnett told his players, “I saw some really good things out there tonight. Some of you stepped up and made some plays. We have to have more of that.”

He continued, “Pender has a good team and they are well coached. They have a great full back.”
