In my opinion, those living on the west side of the railroad tracks in Warsaw are going to get Change They Can Count On. This change is likely to come by votes of Susan Greenhill, Johnny Hollingsworth and Bobby Martin to succumb to the wishes of the railroad company and sell you out to the rail oad company’s financial benefit.
This “change you can count on” is likely to come in the form of closing Plank Road, Yancey Street and Best Street to EMS, your personal auto and truck and fire truck and ambulance traffic. You’ll have to find another route and you pay for the gas. And you’re likely to have to wait longer for EMS, fire trucks and ambulance assistance.
If you voted for Susan Greenhill, tell her that closing Plank Road, Yancey Street and Best Street are not going to revitalize the economy.
I implore every citizen on both sides of the railroad tracks to attend the public hearing and voice your objection to the town commissioners “pimping” our finances, our time, our ease of transportation, our conveniences because the railroad company has apparently sold them a bill of Bull Shoot Slick Tongue.
You can see the evidence that the deal might be already done. Just go to Plank Road and Railroad Street and notice the road is already cut on both sides of the tracks.
I think it makes the public hearing just a joke that has to be put on by the board.
And, if you see policeman, Capitan Holland, ask him why he is more qualified than Gerald Lanier, the town’s maintenance supervisor, to get involved in this matter.
You can sign a petition at 209 Railroad St., which will be presented at the public hearing on March 9, at the Warsaw Town Hall during the commissioners meeting. By the way, a petition with over 300 signatures was presented to the town board several years ago. I wonder why this injustice is still even on the table. ‘Mabee da thinks we is to dum to know it’.
Rise up and stand against this kind of discriminatory actions against visitors, and businesses and minority and economically disadvantaged citizen. You voted in November, 2008, now vote for yourselves on March 9.!
Change you can count on. Yep. And it will be permanent, FOREVER!
