Sampson Middle’s football team got their first win of the season Thursday, defeating the Midway raiders 30-12.
Coach Tracey Thornton said it was a good first win for the team, noting that Thursday was the first game of the season for both teams.
“It was a good win. Some had never played football before, and I thought they did quite well for their first time out.
Skinner scored the middle Horses four touchdowns, one from 30 yards out, another from 20 yards out, another from 30 yards out and the final TD from 60 yards out.
