The Just-A-Mere Garden Club met on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the home of Betty Honeycutt, 1016 Mingo Church Road, Dunn.
President Bonnie Jackson called the meeting to order and the Club Collect was read. Marian Honeycutt gave a very inspirational devotion from Jeremiah 29, verses 5-7 with a focus on “Bloom Where You Are Planted.” Afterwards, Sybil West, vice president and program chairwoman gave a preview of all the activities, events and club meetings scheduled for the upcoming year.
Martha Turner won the hostess gift.
Members recited the club motto and meeting was adjourned.
Just-A-Mere Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of North Carolina, District 8. District 8 is comprised of Harnett, Cumberland, Chatham, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Robeson and Scotland counties.
