Clinton secured another conference win Wednesday, this one on the road against Northside, shutting them out 2-0.
Although coach Brad Spell said the Horses played a solid game, he didn’t think they finished as well as he knows they are capable of doing. “There were opportunities we didn’t capitalize on. When playing some of the tougher teams out there, you simply cannot do that.”
On the other hand, Spell said he thought the Clinton boys moved the ball well, kept it on the ground and possessed it well.
Scoring for Clinton Wednesday was Eric Bradshaw with 1 goal and Wil Pearson with 1 goal. Jose Aguilar got an assist.
Clinton returns to Darkness Stadium Thursday for a game against 4A Jack Britt High School Games begin with the JV teams at 4:30 p.m.
