A Sampson County man was arrested and placed under a $10,000 secured bond after being linked to an alleged breaking, entering and larceny that took place at his neighbor’s home Sunday evening.

Christopher Glenn Daughtry, 25, of 1062 Kitty Fork Road, was charged with breaking and entering; larceny after breaking and entering; and possession of stolen goods Tuesday around 5 p.m.

According to officials with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect’s neighbor, who lives in the 500 block of Kitty Fork Road, reported that antique farm equipment was taken from his residence Sunday.

After investigation, Daughtry, reports noted, became the sole suspect. By Tuesday afternoon, warrants were issued for his arrest.

His trial date is Oct. 28.

According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Daughtry has no previous convictions.
