CLINTON — Mr. Lutrell Hairr, 83, of 887 Beaverdam Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept.30, at Owen Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Clinton with the Rev. Kim Strickland and the Rev. Robbie Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Owen Grove Cemetery, 1085 Kitty Fork Road, Clinton.

Mr. Hairr, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late Spencer B. Hairr and Lula B. Lockamy Hairr. He retired from Big Blue and was a member of Owen Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. A brother, Bruce Hairr, predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Jordan Hairr of the home; a son, Ronald Keith Hairr and wife, Julia of Clinton; a daughter, Shelia Rose Hairr Jones and husband, Thomas Jones Jr. of Clinton; and two grandchildren, Holly Kristen Hairr of Wilmington and Thomas Luke Jones of Clinton.
