Churches will celebrate homecoming this week

The 141st church anniversary and homecoming will be celebrated at the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey White will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the guest will be the Rev. Thomas Farrow, choir and congregation of First Baptist Church, 900 College St., Clinton.

Homecoming celebration will be held at the Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church in Roseboro will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. S.E. Bryant will bring forth the morning message and the choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. The 3 p.m. service will be rendered by pastor James Mitchell, choir and congregation of the Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton.

Homecoming service will be held at the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Ray Bolton will bring forth the morning message and the choir will render the music. Following the morning service a dinner will be served. All are invited to come out.

Homecoming service will be held at the Mingle Hill Disciple of Christ Church, Salemburg, on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. The pastor, elder Eddie Parker, will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the guest will be the Rev. Mark D. Powell, choir and congregation of the Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. Everyone is invited.

Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church Ministries family will celebrate the 137th homecoming and church anniversary beginning with Homecoming Revival on Wednesday, Oct. 10 through Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Pastor Thomas Farrow from First Baptist Church, Clinton, will be conducting the revival leading up to the church’s homecoming celebration on Sunday, Oct. 14, the pastor, bishop V.N. Fullwood will bring forth the message during the Sunday morning worship service. At 3 p.m. the guest minister will be pastor Onyx Martin of Saint Paul Church of Christ, accompanied by his choir and congregation.

Revival will begin at the Saint Stephens Holiness Church in Turkey on Wednesday, Oct. 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Tonight, the guest speaker will be the Rev. Kenneth Morrisey and Faison Chapel Missionary Baptist Church; on Thursday, minister Linda McNeal, accompanied by Saint Mary and Saint Peters Choir and congregation. On Sunday, Oct. 7, the homecoming celebration will be held. The pastor Willie Bryant will bring forth the homecoming message at 11 a.m. and the Saint Stephens Choir accompanied by Saint Jude Choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service.

Regular morning worship service will be held at the Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Alice Jean Boykin will bring forth the morning message and the youth choir will render the music. At 3 p.m. the youth choir will celebrate their third anniversary. Appearing on the program will be the Pilgrim Rest Youth Choir of Ivanhoe; Red Hill Youth Choir of Clinton; First Baptist Youth Choir of Garland; Wilson Chapel Youth Choir of Turkey; the Gospel Angels of Clinton; and others. The host pastor is the Rev. Harold Boykin, Jr.

The Trinity United Holiness Church of Clinton will have service on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Friendly Community Center, Clinton. Pastor Anna Mosson will bring forth the morning message and the choir will render the music. For transportation call bishop Larry Mosson at 910-337-3272.

Homecoming will be celebration at the Union Star Free Will Baptist Church, Clinton, on Sunday, Oct., 7 at 11 a.m. The pastor bishop James Leftdwrige will bring forth the morning message and the combined choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the guest preacher will be elder James Collins, choir and congregation of Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

The Jerusalem Traverlers of Turkey will be celebrating their anniversary on Sunday, Oct.14, at the Friendly Community Center at 5 p.m. The admission will be $5. On the program will be the Gospel Tones of Raleigh; Norbett Simmons and the Gospelaries of Goldsboro; Set A Part Singers of Goldsboro; The Branchettes of Raleigh; The Drivers No. 2 Prosper of Goldsboro; Deep Bottom Mass Choir of Wallace; J.B. The Christ Missionary Baptist Church, now located at Salemburg Elementary School, will have its regular morning worship service on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Marvin T. Clowney, will bring forth the morning message and the C.B.C. Choir will render the music.

The Mingle Hill Disciple of Christ Church will hold its Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come out and enjoy lots of fun, food and fellowship at 100 Zoar Church Road in Salemburg.

The Ram In the Bush Church in Clinton will have another Building Fund Program on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. The guest speaker will be pastor Hubert Staggard of Kenly.

A gospel concert featuring End Time Messengers C.D. Tour will be held at Bulter Avenue School in Clinton on Sunday, Oct. 7. The service will begin at 4 p.m. Featuring Billy Ray and the Gospelarities of Clinton; The Temple Singers of Richlands; Clay Johnson and Gospel Sounds of Kinston; and others.
