The Union Spartan JV and varsity volleyball teams were swept on the road Thursday night against Trask.
JV
In the junior varsity match, Union fell 2-1. “I think that both teams played a good game tonight,” said head coach Dana Strickland. “There were really a lot of good things that I saw out there … it was a very close game. “
Strickland said that the team had struggled a bit of late and was happy to see the team play hard.
“They played tough tonight,” she admitted. “I was very proud.”
Varsity
The Union Spartans fell to Trask 3-0 in Thursday night’s volleyball action.
“We are getting better with every game,” Strickland noted. “We have a young team and the girls have been playing hard. With each game, I see them improving and keep getting better, which is a great thing.”
Both Lady Spartan teams will travel to Midway High Tuesday night. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.
