The Midway Lady Raiders picked up two wins on the road in volleyball action Thursday night.
JV
Behind the solid play of Hannah Hubbard and a standout offensive effort, the Lady Raiders beat James Kenan, 2-1. Final scores of the game were: 25-11;18-25; and 25-10.
With the win, the Raiders improve to 13-3 overall and 10-1 in the conference.
Varsity
Jada Cannady, Elizabeth McCullen, Sarrah Jackson, Harley Bass, Jennifer Blackman and Kaitlyn Jackson all delivered outstanding performances, leading them to a 3-2 victory in a gritty battle Thursday night. Final scores of the matches were: 25-22; 13-25;23-25;25-19; and 15-10.
With the win, Midway improves to 9-7 overall and 6-5 in the conference.
Both squads will play again Tuesday at home vs. Union. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.
