Rain postpones
two soccer matches
Heavy downpours across Sampson and surrounding counties put the brakes on two county soccer matches Monday.
Lakewood, facing Trask on Leopard turf, postponed their game until Tuesday at 5 p.m.
Hobbton, traveling to James Kenan, returned home early because the Duplin school postponed its game because of a soggy game.
The Wildcats will travel back to Warsaw Tuesday for the matchup with the Tigers. Tentative game time is 5 p.m.
