GARLAND — Mr. David Alford Staton, 74, of 155 N. Ingold Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Garland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Hampton Faircloth, and the Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garland Cemetery.
Mr. Staton is survived by his wife, Dorothy Staton; one son, Richard Staton of Beulaville; one daughter, Renee Johnson of Lumberton; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Dallas, Frances Lewis, Nancy Lockamy, all of Garland; three brothers, Joe Staton of Garner, Clarence Staton of High Point, and Milton Staton of Garland; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 12, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
