Midway traveled to the Tiger’s den Wednesday looking for their seventh conference win of the season, but the Raiders couldn’t tame James Kenan, who got the home win 3-1.

“I thought we played good soccer,” Midway coach Allan McLamb said, “but just couldn’t seem to find the net.”

McLamb said the Raider boys worked hard but the kicks were week and the team, overall, didn’t seem to be in sync.

“We’ve been in every game we’ve played all season, we just couldn’t get it together today (Wednesday), McLamb said.

James Kenan was up 2-1 in the first half, then came back from the break to seal the deal with a final goal.

Raider Jimmy Blackmon scored Midway’s only goal.

The Sampson team moves to 6-4-1 in conference play. They host Union Monday during their Senior Night.
