The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Kenansville, with the Rev. Victor Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Murphy Cemetery, Magnolia.
Mr. Southerland is survived by his mother, Mavis Johnson Southerland of Magnolia; daughters, Samara Southerland Williams of Greesnboro, Latoya Southerland of Hiawatha, Iowa; sisters, Bonita Bouyer and Anita Southerland both of Magnolia, and LaWanda Newberne of Kenansville; brother, Michael Southerland of Dover, Del.; and one grandchild.
Visitation was held from 1 to 6 p.m., Saturday, at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m.
