Proverbs 19:21 says “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the lord, that shall stand.”

Have you ever been around a person who thinks they know it all? You try to give them advice, and yet they refuse to listen, instead they go and do it their way. Some Christians people are the world’s worst for thinking they know everything there is to know about this journey with Jesus. Just because they have preached a few sermons, prayed for a few people, and have a little title before their name, they feel like they a veteran Christian.

Let me share something with you, Saints of God: “You are never, never too old or mature in Jesus to learn something. Stay humble and know that God can still teach you things no matter how long you have been saved.

When you meet someone like this, who thinks they know it all, and you can’t get a word in for them talking all the time, they are not attractive to be around.

Jesus, who was God in the flesh, knew everything there was and is to come, and he didn’t talk all the time nor acted like he knew everything even though he did. He allowed people to talk, even if he knew their ideals and thoughts opposed God’s plan for their lives. He was a man who walked in “humbleness” each and every day.

Can you say that about yourself? Or do you walk as if you got this thing we call life down pat?

Can anybody give you advice that opposes the plans you have in your heart without you getting upset? God can use anybody he would desire to speak to you but the question is can you handle who he sends to you?

God may, through these people, tell you something about yourself that you don’t want to hear … can you handle that? It may be a child who’s young and hasn’t experience life as you have — can you handled that? It may be a sinner who God used to speak to you about your situations, but can you handle that?

Never shut the door on God as to who he can use to bless you and correct you. Stay humble and be open for new ways God can speak to you. The only one who knows it all is God, and when we act as if we do, we are taking his place and we are soon to fail when we do that.
