WADE — Mr. Rodney Shawn “Freebird” Faircloth, 46, of Barefoot Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.

Rodney was born in Cumberland County and is the son of Henry Eugene Faircloth and Gwendolyn Mae Williams Faircloth.

He was 1984 graduate of Cape Fear High School and was employed with Horne Sod Farms as a truck driver. He loved children, sports and was a avid hunter.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Center Baptist Church in Wade, prior to the service. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Center Baptist Church in Wade with the Rev. Joe Hickson and the Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery.

Surviving other than his parents; two daughters, Sydney Faircloth and Skylar Faircloth; both of Stedman; a sister, Dawn Horne and husband, Curtis of Stedman; three brothers, Brian Faircloth and wife, Cindy of Wade, Terrell Faircloth and Chris Lohman of Atlanta, Ga.; Heath Faircloth and wife, Carri of Mooresville; nieces and nephews, Corey Horne, Clifton Faircloth, Crystal Horne, Anna Faircloth, Kendall Faircloth, Seth Hair, Zachary Hair, Bailey Faircloth, Charlie Faircloth and Piper Faircloth.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Center Baptist Church in Wade, prior to the service.
