CLINTON — Mrs. Jerolene Diggs Dyson, 79, of 408 Five Bridge Road, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m, Thursday, Dec. 13, at First United Methodist Church in Clinton with the Rev. Robert Redmond officiating. An interment service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at East-Side Cemetery in Rockingham.
Mrs. Dyson, born in Richmond County, was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Diggs and Addie Marie Grant Diggs and was the wife of Daniel Maxton Dyson. She was a retired teacher’s aide and a member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Dyson of the home; three children, Jan Edwards of Clinton, Danny Dyson and wife, Sandy of Raleigh, and Mary Ann Dyson of Clinton; a brother, Jack Diggs and wife, JoAn of Rockingham; a sister, Sue Cummings and husband, Don of Garner; three grandchildren, Jennifer Denning, Angela Dyson, and Daniel Dyson.
The family will receive friends following the funeral on Thursday afternoon at First United Methodist Church in Clinton and other times at the home.
