Clinton junior varsity girls gave the visiting Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldog girls a sound thumping, securing the home win 49-7.
“My girls played hard,” said CHS coach Regina Parker. “Our defense was strong and our hustle was good.”
Clinton came out of the gate hot and never let up, holding the visitors on defense and turning up the heat on the offensive side of the ball.
Brielle Mitchel led Clinton to their victory with 11 points. She was followed close behind by Talaya Butler and Jacklyn Parker with 6 points a piece. Toni Whitted added 5 points; Chyna Killet had 4; Jasmine Fryar, 4; Zoey Harris, 4; Ashley Dixon, 4; Brittany Simmons, 3; and Chelsea Underwood, 2.
Clinton returns to the court this afternoon in their game with Union.
