Sampson Community College officials praised Tarheel Challenge Academy cadets for earning, above, a Gold Career Readiness Certificate. Others, below, earned silver and bronze certificates.  The CRC is a portable credential that is used when seeking employment that reflects one’s skills levels in Applied Mathematics,  Reading for Information, and Locating Information.  Research shows that approximately 90 percent of jobs in the United States require these skills.  CRC has been proven effective in the hiring process for employers as it helps to speed up the selection process, hire the right person for the right job, and reduces training time.
