Christmas will

be Christmas

Editor:

Christmas will be Christmas no matter what some people may say.

No one can put out the light of Christmas no more than they can put out the light of the sun in the sky. It’s just a fact, and those who think otherwise really need to pay attention.

Christians have the right in America, by the Constitution of the United States of America, to say Merry Christmas if they so choose. Just as people have the right to say happy holiday or something else other than Merry Christmas, we, as Christians, have rights, too. And, further, Christians also have a God-given right.

As a Christian, myself, I will say Merry Christmas until I and dead and gone, unless my brain goes haywire!

As for me and my family, we plan to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, God willing. It is our prayer that others do, too.

Nation’s sins are

many against God

Ever since the U.S. Supreme Court ordered prayer and God out of public schools, Satan, with his power of death, moved into our schools and the killing of school children has become a regular, and most horrible, event. Twenty children in a school in Newtown, Conn. were expected home from school last Friday, but they went to heaven from school, instead. God trumped Satan.

President Barack Obama said he was upset over the recent killing of school children, but at the same time Obama has sanctioned the killing of thousands of innocent and helpless babies each year through abortion. Hypocrisy, I say, from the president’s mouth.

The anti-gun group will condemn guns and want more gun laws. Hundreds of people are killed by drunk drivers in this country. No one condemns the automobile or the state for selling liquor to drivers, but they point to guns and want them banned.

It is not guns or automobiles that are responsible. The nation does not have God’s protection because of the nation’s sins against God, for they are many!
