The 35th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 4442 Bonnetsville Road, Clinton. Choir rehearsal date will be Monday, Jan. 21 and 28 at 7 p.m. at Mount Pleasant. All churches in Sampson and surrounding counties are asked to participate. On Sunday, Jan. 20, the Friendly Trio will have a Musical Gospel Train program. The theme will be “Get Aboard this Gospel Train.” Devotions and inspirational words will bbe a part of the program.
