Nellie G. Tanner, 73

AUTRYVILLE — Mrs. Nellie Grace Tanner, 73, of 247 Carry Bridge Road, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.

Mrs. Tanner was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Robert Clay and Ethel Jane Davis Faircloth. She was a farm worker.

She is survived by her husband, Odell Tanner of the home; a daughter, Susan Wilson of Autryville; a son, Glenn D. Tanner of Roseboro; two sisters, Pauline Carey and Annette Lockwood both of Roseboro; one brother, Percy Faircloth of Roseboro; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
